The most widely used mini sumo drive motor in competition robotics. A 15mm-diameter brushed DC gearmotor, torque-biased for pushing matches. Rated 6V, but the winding and gearbox are routinely run at 3S/4S LiPo (11.1–16.8V) for the extra stall torque, which is why it's the default choice for mini sumo (500g class).

Nominal voltage 6V (commonly overvolted to 3S/4S — see note below)
No-load speed 400 RPM @ 6V
Stall torque @ 6V 3.9 kg-cm
Continuous torque @ 6V 1.2 kg-cm
Stall current @ 6V 3.2A
No-load current @ 6V 120mA
Body diameter 15mm
Overall length (incl. shaft) 47mm
Shaft 3mm D-profile, 12mm length
Weight 21g
Brushes Carbon (longer service life under repeated stall)

A note on running it at 3S/4S: the 6V rating reflects the manufacturer's baseline test voltage, not a hard ceiling — the motor's terminal resistance and magnets are the real limits. Most competitive builders run these motors at 11.1–16.8V, which roughly doubles to triples stall torque. Expect shorter service life at sustained high voltage and repeated stalls; carbon brushes help but the gearbox is the first thing to wear.

Driver sizing note: at 3S/4S this motor can pull 6–9A at stall — size your motor driver's per-channel peak rating above that, per motor. Small breakout drivers rated ~1–3A are not sufficient for main drive duty.
